How to Apply for the GATE CE Exam

1. Visit the Official GATE Website
- Go to the official website of GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) at gate.iitb.ac.in.

2. Register as a New User
- Click on the "New User? Register Here" link.
- Fill in the required details such as your name, email address, mobile number, and a password of your choice.
- Enter the captcha code and click on the "Submit" button.

3. Receive Enrollment ID
- After successful registration, you will receive an Enrollment ID on your registered email address.
- Use this Enrollment ID and password to log in to the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS).

4. Fill in the Application Form
- Log in to GOAPS using your Enrollment ID and password.
- Fill in the application form with accurate personal, educational, and communication details.
- Choose the exam paper as "CE" (Civil Engineering) from the given list of paper codes.
- Select three cities for the examination center in your order of preference.

5. Upload Required Documents
- Upload scanned copies of your recent photograph and signature as per the specified guidelines.
- Ensure that the photograph is clear and the signature is done on a white paper with a black ink pen.

6. Pay the Application Fee
- Pay the application fee through online mode using net banking, debit card, or credit card.
- The application fee for General/OBC(NCL) category is Rs. 1500, while for SC/ST/PwD and Women candidates, it is Rs. 750.

7. Submit the Application
- After successful payment, review all the details filled in the application form.
- Click on the "Submit" button to complete the application process.
- Note down the application number and take a printout of the application form for future reference.

8. Admit Card Download
- The admit card will be available for download on the GATE website within the specified time period.
- Log in to GOAPS using your Enrollment ID and password to download the admit card.

9. Prepare for the Exam
- Start your preparations for the GATE CE exam by referring to the official syllabus and study materials available on the GATE website.
- Solve previous year question papers and take mock tests to get familiar with the exam pattern and enhance your time management skills.
