CA Foundation Exam Pattern

The CA Foundation exam is the entry-level examination for the Chartered Accountancy course in India. It is conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) twice a year. The exam pattern for the CA Foundation is as follows:

Mode of Examination
- Each paper is of three hours duration.
- The exam is conducted for a total of 400 marks, with each paper carrying 100 marks.

Marking Scheme
- Each question carries one mark.
- There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
- The passing marks for each paper is 40%.
- In order to clear the CA Foundation exam, candidates need to secure a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers of a group, and a minimum of 40% marks in each individual paper.
