The founder of Mughal rule in India was Muhammad Jahiruddin Babur. He was king of Fargana in modern Ujbekistan. He was a prodigy and his father mirza sheikh was from Timur line and mother kutlag khanam was from Genghis line. His relatives forced him to leave fargana. He invaded india three times and finally in AD 1526 he defeated Ibrahim lodi Sultan of Delhi an afghan ruler at Panipat on invitation of Daulat khan lodi of punjab and Rana Sanga of Mewar. He ruled india from 1526 to 1530. He died in 1530 and handed over kingdom to Humayun the eldest son among 4 .
