Calculation of Percentage of Non-defective Products
1. Percentage of Defective Products by M1, M2, and M3:
- Machine M1 produces 3% defective products.
- Machine M2 produces 4% defective products.
- Machine M3 produces 5% defective products.
2. Percentage of Total Defective Products:
- Total defective products = (25% of total products * 3%) + (35% of total products * 4%) + (40% of total products * 5%)
- Total defective products = 0.75% + 1.4% + 2%
- Total defective products = 4.15%
3. Percentage of Non-defective Products:
- Percentage of non-defective products = 100% - Percentage of defective products
- Percentage of non-defective products = 100% - 4.15%
- Percentage of non-defective products = 95.85%
Therefore, the percentage of non-defective products is 95.85%. Hence, the correct answer is option 'A'.

In a factory there are three types of Machines M1,M2 and M3 which prod...
Given:
Production of machine M1, M2 and M3 = 25%, 35% and 40%
Defective products by machine M1, M2 and M3 = 3%, 4% and 5%
Calculation:
Let the total production is 100 units
Production by machine M1 = 25% of 100
⇒ 25
Production by machine M2 = 35% of 100
⇒ 35
Production by machine M3 = 40% of 100
⇒ 40
Non- defective product by machine M1 = 97% of 25
2⇒ 4.25      ---- (1)
Non defective product by machine M2 = 96% of 35
⇒ 33.6      ---- (2)
⇒ Non defective product by machine M3 = 95% of 40
38      ---- (3)
Adding 1, 2 and 3
24.25% + 33.6% + 38%
⇒ 95.85%
∴ The percentage of non -defective products is 95.85%.
