There are only four neighbourhoods in a city - Levmisto, Tyhrmisto, Pe...
Analysis:

Given Information:
- New cases recorded in each neighbourhood over five days: Levmisto (12), Tyhrmisto (12), Pesmisto (5), Kitmisto (14)
- More cases in Kitmisto than Pesmisto each day
- Number of cases increased each day
- Number of cases on Day 3 is one more than Day 2
- Maximum cases in Pesmisto is 2, only once
- Kitmisto had 3 cases on Day 2

Deduction:
- Since Pesmisto had a maximum of 2 cases in a day, it cannot have 3 cases on Day 2, so Kitmisto must have had 3 cases on that day.
- Number of cases increased each day, so the total number of cases on Day 3 must be more than Day 2.
- Given that Kitmisto had 3 cases on Day 2, Pesmisto had 2 cases on Day 2, and the total number of cases in Kitmisto over five days was 14, Kitmisto must have had 3 cases on Day 2 and 4 cases on Day 3.
- Total cases in Pesmisto over five days is 5, so Pesmisto must have had 1 case on Day 2 and 2 cases on Day 3.

Conclusion:
- Total number of new cases in the city on Day 2 is the sum of cases in each neighbourhood on Day 2: Levmisto (x), Tyhrmisto (x), Pesmisto (1), Kitmisto (3)
- Total = x + x + 1 + 3 = 5 + 1 + 3 = 9
- Therefore, the total number of new cases in the city on Day 2 is exactly 9. Hence, the correct answer is Option D: Exactly 8.
