ΔABC, AB=AC,angle A=5x 20 degree and angle B=2/5th of angle A.
To Find:
Measure of angle A.
Explanation:
Let's assume that, angle A is x.
As per the question, AB=AC, so angle B=angle C.
Therefore, angle B=angle C=x/2.
Also, angle B=2/5th of angle A.
So, angle B=2/5x.
As we know, sum of all angles of triangle = 180 degree.
So, x + x/2 + 2/5x = 180
LCM of 2 and 5 is 10, so by solving this equation we get:
10x/10 + 5x/10 + 4x/10 = 180
19x/10 = 180
x = (10*180)/19
x = 94.736 degrees
