Solution:
Let's assume the present age of the son is x years.
So, the present age of the man will be 3x years.

After 10 years, the age of the son will be x + 10 years.
And the age of the man will be 3x + 10 years.

According to the problem, after 10 years, the age of the man will be double that of the son.
So, we can write the equation as:
3x + 10 = 2(x + 10)

Simplifying the equation, we get:
3x + 10 = 2x + 20
3x - 2x = 20 - 10
x = 10

Answer:
The present age of the son is 10 years.
