Mukesh I think you have to say 100 power of 20 i.e. 20^100.  ............Here 20^n this formula used (n= no. of amino acids present in each protein) ............ ###I can prove this ...............suppose we have 2 amino acids instead of 20 and each protein cnosist of 3 amino acids instead of 100 as in question * suppose that 2 amino acids are A, B ,............each protein consist 3 amino acids. so all possible combinations of proteins. ----->>> are(1) BBB(2) BBA(3) BAB(4) BAA(5)AAB(6) AAA(7)ABA(8)ABB such that with different combinations of 2 amino acids (A, B) 8 proteins are formed of 3 amino acids in each i.e. 2^3 =8 proteins (if we taken 3^2 = 9=totally wrong.) .
