If a capacitor is connected in parallel with emitter resistance in the amplifier design which uses emitter feedback bias circuit, then gain value increases.
Emitter Resistance connected to the emitter terminal of a transistor amplifier can be used to increases the amplifiers bias stabilisation.
Since the capacitor acts as a short circuit during high frequency, there will be no feedback and hence gain increases. All of the current will flow to ground through a capacitor which acts as a short circuit.
