Verified Answer
A motorcycle is moving at the speed of 25 km/hour and its speed is inc...
Given:
Initial speed =25km/ hour
Total distance =225km
CALCULATION:
Distance travelled in 1st  hour ate speed of 25km/ hour =25km
Due to increase in speed by 7km/ hour at the end of each hour
Distance travelled in 2nd  hour =25+7=32km
Similarly, in 3rd 4th  and 5th  hour distance will be =39,46 and 53km
So distance travelled by him till now in 5 hours =195km
Remaining distance =225−195=30km
Speed in next hour will be 53+7=60km/ hour
To travel left 30km at speed of 60km hour, time taken =30/60=30 minutes
∴225km will be travelled in =5 hours +30 minute =11/2 hours

A motorcycle is moving at the speed of 25 km/hour and its speed is inc...
Understanding the Problem
The motorcycle starts at a speed of 25 km/h and increases its speed by 7 km/h at the end of each hour. We need to calculate how long it will take to cover a distance of 225 km.

Speed Breakdown
- **Hour 1:**
Speed = 25 km/h
Distance covered = 25 km
- **Hour 2:**
Speed = 25 + 7 = 32 km/h
Distance covered = 32 km
- **Hour 3:**
Speed = 32 + 7 = 39 km/h
Distance covered = 39 km

Distance Calculation
Now, let's calculate the total distance covered in each hour until we reach or exceed 225 km.
- **Total distance after Hour 1:**
25 km
- **Total distance after Hour 2:**
25 km + 32 km = 57 km
- **Total distance after Hour 3:**
57 km + 39 km = 96 km

Continuing the Calculation
- **Hour 4:**
Speed = 39 + 7 = 46 km/h
Distance covered = 46 km
Total distance = 96 km + 46 km = 142 km
- **Hour 5:**
Speed = 46 + 7 = 53 km/h
Distance covered = 53 km
Total distance = 142 km + 53 km = 195 km
- **Hour 6:**
Speed = 53 + 7 = 60 km/h
Distance covered = 60 km
Total distance = 195 km + 60 km = 255 km

Final Calculation
At the end of Hour 5, the motorcycle has covered 195 km. To cover the remaining 30 km at 60 km/h:
- Time = Distance/Speed = 30 km / 60 km/h = 0.5 hours

Total Time
Adding the hours gives:
- Total time = 5 hours + 0.5 hours = 5.5 hours or 11/2 hours.
Thus, the correct answer is option 'A'.
