Yes the right answer is a... first of all u should calculate the resultant of a and b vector...i mean add them....it gives 10i cap minus 2j cap... now...we have to find that vector which when added to 10 i cap minus 2j cap gives 1 i cap...1 i cap is a unit vector in the direction of x...thus only a option satisfies our requirement.... hope u understand it...
