Projectile motion is a type of motion in which an object is thrown or projected into the air, and its trajectory is determined by the forces acting on it. When a projectile is fired at an angle q with the horizontal with velocity, then its vertical component changes due to the forces acting on it. The correct answer to the question is option 'C', which means that the vertical component first decreases and then increases with height.

Factors affecting the vertical component of a projectile motion:

There are two factors that affect the vertical component of a projectile motion:

1. Gravity: Gravity is the force that pulls the object towards the earth. It acts in the downward direction, which means that it decreases the vertical component of the projectile motion.

2. Initial velocity: The initial velocity of the projectile determines how fast it moves in both the horizontal and vertical directions. A higher initial velocity means that the projectile will have a higher vertical component.

Explanation of the answer:

When a projectile is fired at an angle q with the horizontal with velocity, its vertical component changes due to the forces acting on it. Initially, the vertical component of the projectile is at its maximum value. As the projectile moves upward, the force of gravity starts to act on it, which decreases its vertical component. At the highest point of the trajectory, the vertical component of the projectile is zero. As the projectile starts to come down, the force of gravity starts to act in the opposite direction, increasing the vertical component of the projectile.

Therefore, the correct answer to the question is option 'C', which means that the vertical component first decreases and then increases with height.

When a projectile is fired at an angle q with thehorizontal with veloc...
Yes the answer is c because the vertical component of velocity which is ( u sinq) will decrease uptill it reaches top most position because while going up the acceleration is (-g), at top most point vertical component of velocity will be zero and the particle will be at the mid of its trajectory, at top most position velocity will be zero but acceleration will be non zero and equal to (g) and after reaching top most position particle will accelerate towards downward direction and will suffer a increase in velocity........ Particle will suffer decrease in velocity with increase in height and at maximum height it will be zero and while coming down it will suffer increase in velocity with decrease in height...... Time for which it suffers decrease and increase in velocity will be same =( u sin theta /g)
