Radial distribution function and probability density

Radial Distribution Function: 2.4r2dr gives the probability of finding an electron at a particular distance along any chosen direction. The radial distribution function is a probability density function that describes the distribution of electrons around the nucleus of an atom.

Probability Density: 2(r) gives the probability density at a particular distance over a spherical surface. It is the probability per unit volume of finding an electron at a particular distance from the nucleus.

Angular dependence of orbitals

s Orbitals: For s orbitals, the wave function (q) and probability density (f) are independent of the angular coordinates (x, y, z). The electron density is spherically symmetric around the nucleus.

p Orbitals: For p orbitals, there is angular dependence. The wave function and probability density depend on the angular coordinates (x, y, z). The p orbitals have two lobes with opposite signs that are oriented along the x, y, and z axes.

2p Orbital: The 2p orbital with quantum numbers n = 2, l = 1, m = 0 also shows angular dependence. The wave function and probability density depend on the angular coordinates (x, y, z). The 2p orbital has two lobes along the y-axis and a nodal plane along the x-axis.

Choose the correct statement among the following :a)Radial distributio...
A.) just as mass=volume*density, probability=volume of the referred region*probability density
c.) As l=number of angular nodes, which is zero for s orbital, there is no angular dependence. Hence the angular terms theta and phi have no role.
d.) number of angular nodes=l. As l=1, there is one angular node. Thus, there is angular dependence in 2p orbital.
