What is molarity ofNaOH in the Solution, that is prepared by adding 2 ...
Given:
Mass of NaOH = 4 g
Volume of solution = 250 ml = 0.25 L

Molarity of a solution is defined as the number of moles of solute present in 1 liter of the solution.

Step 1: Calculate the number of moles of NaOH
Molar mass of NaOH = 23 + 16 + 1 = 40 g/mol
Number of moles of NaOH = Mass of NaOH / Molar mass of NaOH
= 4 g / 40 g/mol
= 0.1 mol

Step 2: Calculate the molarity of NaOH solution
Molarity of NaOH = Number of moles of NaOH / Volume of NaOH solution in liters
= 0.1 mol / 0.25 L
= 0.4 M

Therefore, the molarity of NaOH in the solution prepared by dissolving 4 g of NaOH in enough water to form 250 ml of solution is 0.4 M.
