The area of a square is 169 cm2.
Formula used:
Area of square = (side)2
The Perimeter of the square = 4 × side
Length of diagonal of square = √2 × side
Calculation:
Let the length of side of square be a cm
Given, the area of square = 169 cm2
So, a2 = 169
⇒ a = 13
The length of diagonal = √2 × 13
⇒ 13√2 cm
The length of side of new square is 13√2 cm
The perimeter of new square is 4 × 13√2
∴ The perimeter of new square is 52√2 cm.
