Coefficient of Performance of Domestic Refrigerator
The Coefficient of Performance (COP) is a measure of the efficiency of a refrigeration cycle. It is defined as the ratio of the amount of heat removed from the refrigerated space to the amount of work done by the compressor. For domestic refrigerators, the COP is usually expressed as the ratio of the cooling effect (heat removed) to the electrical power input.
Less than 1 - Option A
A COP that is less than 1 means that the refrigerator is consuming more energy than it is removing heat from the refrigerated space. This would indicate a very inefficient refrigerator that is not performing well.
Equal to 1 - Option C
A COP that is equal to 1 would mean that the refrigerator is removing as much heat from the refrigerated space as the amount of work done by the compressor. This would indicate a refrigerator that is operating at its maximum efficiency, but it is practically impossible to achieve this.
Dependent upon the mass of the refrigerant - Option D
The COP of a refrigerator is dependent on several factors, including the type of refrigerant used, the design of the refrigeration cycle, and the operating conditions. However, the mass of the refrigerant is not a major factor that affects the COP.
More than 1 - Option B
A COP that is more than 1 means that the refrigerator is removing more heat from the refrigerated space than the amount of work done by the compressor. This would indicate a refrigerator that is very efficient, and it is possible to achieve this by using advanced designs and high-quality components.
Conclusion
In summary, the correct answer to this question is option B, which states that the COP of a domestic refrigerator is more than 1. This indicates that modern refrigerators are highly efficient and can remove more heat from the refrigerated space than the amount of work done by the compressor. However, it is essential to note that the COP can vary depending on the specific refrigerator model and operating conditions.

COP=cofficient of performance is always grater than one ..in refrigerator and around 2-3 in heat pump.becz it's a reciprocal of efficiency means we calculate or seen efficiency where, where we give small input and got more output.but in refer or heat pump we continuously giving input for get continue output so somewhere we are doing less efficient process.like an engine we just supply fuel and energy we generate no need to run pump with electricity but refer and heat pump doing work against environment condition or doing non spontaneous work so it's efficiency ll be added that work which is 100% we assume and than onward 100% we get efficiency so it is more than 1 in refer and more than 2-3 in heat pump.....
