After the first war of the French revolution in 14th july 1773 the French society converted into constitutional monarchy. In which the power of the ruler is limited. Louis XVI in the fear of the people agreed to this but not hearty wanted. He wanted his autocratic rule in France. So, he send a message to Prusia(his uncle's kingdom) and Austria(his in-laws kingdom) secretly. He wanted them to attach the 3rd estate people and bring back his throne. But his this plan was caught by the people and he was sentenced to death(guillotined) due to the treason to France.

He reigned from 1774 to 1792, and he was known for his indecisiveness and extravagance. The French Revolution began in 1789, and Louis XVI attempted to resist the changes, which led to his eventual downfall.

Reasons for Louis XVI's Guilotine:

1. Economic Crisis: France was in a state of economic crisis when Louis XVI came to power. The country was in debt, and the government was bankrupt. Louis XVI's attempts to fix the economy were unsuccessful, and the country's financial situation worsened.

2. Political Crisis: The French Revolution began in 1789, and Louis XVI attempted to resist the changes. He refused to grant more power to the people, and he tried to dissolve the National Assembly. He also tried to flee the country in 1791, which made him appear untrustworthy to the people.

3. Execution of the King: In 1792, the National Convention declared France a republic and abolished the monarchy. Louis XVI was put on trial for treason, and he was found guilty. He was sentenced to death by guillotine, and he was executed on 21 January 1793.
