Direction: Read the following information and answer the questions given below:
Five friends A, B ,C, D and E are standing in a row facing south but not necessarily in the same order. Only B is between A and E, C is immediate right to E and D is immediate left to A. on the basis of above information, which of the following statements is definitely true?
- a)B is to the left of A
- b)D is third to the left of E
- c)B is to the right of E
- d)A is second to the left of C

As per the given above question , we can say that
Five friends A,B,C, D and E are standing in a row facing south but not necessarily in the same order. Only B is between A and E. It means that the position of B may be 2nd or 3rd.
C is immediate right to E.
and D is immediate left to A. It means that the position of D may be left end.
As all are facing south.......................... so the arrangement will be as below figure.
From above statements and below figure, it is clear that D is third to the left of E .
Five friends A,B,C, D and E are standing in a row facing south but not necessarily in the same order. Only B is between A and E. It means that the position of B may be 2nd or 3rd.
C is immediate right to E.
and D is immediate left to A. It means that the position of D may be left end.
As all are facing south.......................... so the arrangement will be as below figure.
From above statements and below figure, it is clear that D is third to the left of E .
