The area of a rhombus is 220 cm2. If one of its diagonals is 5 cm, the...
Area of the rhombus = 220 cm (raised to the power 2).
Length of one of the diagonals is given.
Area of rhombus = 1/2 (length of diagonal 1)(length of diagonal 2)
220 cm raised to the power 2 = 1/2 multiplied by five (as diagonal is given).
(raised to the power 2)* length of diagonal 2;
Length of diagonal 2 = (220*2 cm raised to the power 2)divided by five.
= 88 cm is the required answer.
Diagonals of a rhombus bisect each other at right angles, forming four identical triangles within the rhombus, whose sides containing the right angle are half the lengths of the diagonals, and the hypotenuse are the sides of the rhombus.
