A) Hydration effect is the stabilization of an ion due to the interaction of ion with water molecules. In the case of ammonium ions, the ammonium ion is stabilized by hydration by forming hydrogen bonds with water molecules. In the case of dimethyl ammonium ion, it has two methyl groups and one ammonium group. The two methyl groups act as electron-donating groups which stabilize the positive charge on the nitrogen atom. Hence, the hydration effect stabilizes the dimethyl ammonium ion more than the trimethyl ammonium ion, which has three methyl groups.

C) RCONH2 is an amide group, which is a weakly acidic functional group. In comparison to carboxylic acid (RCOOH), amides are less acidic because the nitrogen atom is less electronegative than the oxygen atom. Due to this, the nitrogen atom is less likely to attract electrons from the hydrogen atom, leading to a weaker acid.

D) CH3NH2OH is a compound with both an amine group (CH3NH2) and an alcohol group (OH). The basicity of a compound is determined by its ability to donate a lone pair of electrons.
