Golgi apparatus: Modify proteins made by the cells. Package & export proteins.

The materials synthesized in the ER are stored, sorted, modified, packaged and dispatched to various target cells only through the Golgi apparatus. Absence of Golgi complex leads to some problems in the transport of lipids in cells, formation of lysosomes or peroxisomes, the formation of sugars, etc. Without a Golgi apparatus, the cell will not function.
