For the gas phase reaction.
Carried out in a vessel, the equilibrium concentration of C2H4 can be increased by
(I) Increasing the temperature
(II) Decreasing the pressure
(III) Removing some H2
(IV) Adding some C2H6
  • a)
    Only I and II
  • b)
    Only III
  • c)
    Only IV
  • d)
    All are correct
Correct answer is option 'D'. Can you explain this answer?

Question related to le-chatlier principle, always need to counterpart effect 1)rxn exothermic more heat on product side.On increasing temperature rxn go on that side where less heat i.e backward ,hence c2h4 increases
2) pressure reltd to no.of moles on decreaseing pressure rxn go on that side where pressure high i.e no.of moles high i.e backward again C2H4 rxn increase
3)H2 removal, rxn on that side where more H2 i.e on backward side more ethene produced..
4) more C2h6 added .i.e rxn on that side where less C2H6 i.e again backward side ethene is more produce.
thus according to all option ,ethene conc is increased.
