In a transformer 220 A.C. voltage is increased to 2200 volts. If the n...
Number of turns in primary coil ( Np ) = ?

Number of turns in Secondary coil ( Ns ) = 2000

Voltage in primary coil ( Ep ) = 220 V

Voltage in secondary coil ( Es ) = 2200 V .

Now, using formula:  Ep/Es = Np/Ns

Substituting values, we get,

220/2200 = Np/2000

=> Np = 200 turns .

In a transformer 220 A.C. voltage is increased to 2200 volts. If the n...
Given data:
Secondary voltage, V2 = 2200V
Number of turns in secondary, N2 = 2000
Primary voltage, V1 = 220V
Number of turns in primary, N1 = ?

Formula:
The voltage in the primary and secondary of a transformer is related to the number of turns in each coil by the formula:

V1/V2 = N1/N2

Where,
V1 = Voltage in primary
V2 = Voltage in secondary
N1 = Number of turns in primary
N2 = Number of turns in secondary

Calculation:
Using the above formula, we can find N1 as follows:

N1 = (V1/V2) × N2

Substituting the given values in the above formula, we get:

N1 = (220V/2200V) × 2000 = 200

Therefore, the number of turns in the primary is 200.

Answer: Option A.
