How many natural numbers lie between 9² and 10²? Between 11² and 12²?
Number of Natural Numbers between 9² and 10²:

To determine the number of natural numbers between 9² and 10², we need to find the count of integers from 10² - 1 to 9² + 1.

Step 1: Find the values of 10² - 1 and 9² + 1.

10² - 1 = 100 - 1 = 99
9² + 1 = 81 + 1 = 82

Therefore, we need to count the natural numbers between 99 and 82.

Step 2: Determine the count of natural numbers between 99 and 82.

To find the count, we subtract the lower value from the higher value and add 1.

Count = 99 - 82 + 1 = 18 + 1 = 19

Therefore, there are 19 natural numbers between 9² and 10².

Number of Natural Numbers between 11² and 12²:

Similarly, we can find the count of natural numbers between 11² and 12².

Step 1: Find the values of 12² - 1 and 11² + 1.

12² - 1 = 144 - 1 = 143
11² + 1 = 121 + 1 = 122

Therefore, we need to count the natural numbers between 143 and 122.

Step 2: Determine the count of natural numbers between 143 and 122.

Count = 143 - 122 + 1 = 21 + 1 = 22

Therefore, there are 22 natural numbers between 11² and 12².

Summary:

- Between 9² and 10², there are 19 natural numbers.
- Between 11² and 12², there are 22 natural numbers.
