A hypertonic solution is a type of solution where the concentration of solutes outside the cell is higher than the concentration of solutes inside the cell. This causes water to flow out of the cell, causing it to shrink and potentially die.

It doesn't have a diagram. one way to show whether a given solution is hypotonic or isotonic
or hypertonic is putting an animal or a plant cell in the solution.in case of the animal cell, if the cell bursts then the solution is hypotonic, if there is no change in the size of the cell then it is isotonic and if the cell shrinks then it is a hypertonic solution. In the case of the plant cell,if the cell swells the solution is hypotonic, if the cells remain in the same size then it is an isotonic solution and it the protoplasm of cell shrinks and comes at the center of the cell.
