There are various reasons for poverty in India these are follows:-(1)Under the British administration.The British policies destroyed the traditional Indian handicrafts and hampered for growth of industries like textile.(2)-Green Revolution's effect were confined to the limited parts of India.(3)-Very backward from the industrial point of view.(4)-Unequal distribution of land and other resources.(5)-Lack of land resources.(6)-Upward trend in the prices of daily use products.(7)-Lack of job opportunities.
