Reason:
Pedal triangle is the ex-central triangle of the given triangle.
The assertion is true because the orthocentre of a triangle is the point of intersection of its altitudes, and the incentre of a triangle is the point of intersection of its angle bisectors. The pedal triangle is constructed by drawing perpendiculars from the vertices of the original triangle to the sides of a reference triangle.
