Given,

Voltage in primary, V1 = 230 V

Voltage in secondary, V2 = 4.6 V

Current in secondary, I2 = 5 A

Let us assume the current in the primary, I1 = x A

Turns ratio, N = V1 / V2

N = 230 / 4.6 = 50

On the basis of law of conservation of energy,

V1 I1 = V2 I2

230 x = 4.6 x 5

x = 0.1 A

Therefore, the current in the primary is 0.1 A.

Hence, the correct answer is option 'A'.
