Answer the following question based on the information given below.

P, Q, R, S, T, V, W and X are captains of eight different cricket teams, viz; Australia, New Zealand, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, England, West Indies and South Africa, but not necessarily in the same order. They are seated around a circular table and are facing the centre of the table. It is also known that:
1. P is sitting third to the left of the Sri Lankan captain.
2. Only two people are sitting between T and W. Neither of T nor W is an immediate neighbour of P. Also, none of them is the captain of Sri Lanka.
3. The captain of South Africa is sitting second to the right of S, who is not an immediate neighbour of P. Also, S is not the Sri Lankan captain and P is not the captain of South Africa.
4. The Australian captain is sitting third to the left of V. The captains of Australia and Sri Lanka are not immediate neighbours of each other.
5. Only one person is sitting between S and the Indian captain.
6. The captains of Pakistan and New Zealand are immediate neighbours of each other.
7. S is not the captain of New Zealand.
8. Only one person is sitting between Q and the captain of England, who is an immediate neighbour of X.
9. W and Q are not immediate neighbours of each other.

Group QuestionAnswer the following question based on the information g...
Solution: Denote the teams by their initials i.e. Aus, NZ, Ind, Pak, SL, Eng, Wl, SA.
Number the seats as 1-8 in clockwise order, such that the captain of Sri Lanka is on seat 1.
Since P is third to the left of the SL captain, the arrangement is:
T and W cannot be neighbours of P and are not the captain of SL.
Based on the above statements, T and W cannot be on seats 1, 3, 4 or 5.
There are two people between T and W.
For T = 2, W = 5 (not possible) or 7 (possible) For T = 6, W = 3 (not possible) or 1 (not possible) For T = 7, W = 4 (not possible) or 2 (possible) For T = 8, W = 3 (not possible) or 5 (not possible) Hence, T and W are on seats 2 and 7, in no specific order, as under:
The captain of SA is second to the right of S while there is one person between S and the Indian captain.
Hence, the relative arrangement of these three people is: Ind __S __ SA Also, S is not the captain of SL and P is not the captain of SA. Finally, S is not an immediate neighbour of P. Based on the three conditions above, the only possible place for S is on seat 8. Hence, the captains of Ind and SA are on seats 2 and 6 respectively.
The Aus captain is third to the left of V, but is not next to the SL captain.
This is only possible when the Aus captain is P and V is the SL captain.
Since the captains of NZ and Pak are next to each other, they can only be on seats 7 and 8 (where T/W and S) are sitting.
Since S is not the captain of NZ, S is the captain of Pak.
There is one person between Q and the captain of England, who is an immediate neighbour of X.
Based on the above arrangement, Q has to be on seat 3, the captain of England on seat 5 and X has to be the captain of SA.
Hence, Q is the captain of Wl and R is the captain of Eng.
Since W and Q are not immediate neighbours of each other, T is the captain of Ind and W is the captain of NZ.
Hence, the final arrangement is:

Thus, starting from T and going anticlockwise, there are four people (V, S, W, X) between T and the captain of England (R).
Hence, option 4.

Analysis:
Given the seating arrangement and the conditions provided, we need to determine the number of people sitting between T and the captain of England when counting anti-clockwise.

1. Starting point:
- T is the starting point for counting anti-clockwise.

2. Position of the captain of England:
- Q is one seat to the right of the captain of England.
- X is an immediate neighbour of the captain of England.

3. Position of T and W:
- T and W have two people sitting between them.
- T and W are not immediate neighbours of P.

4. Position of S:
- S is second to the right of the captain of South Africa.
- S is not an immediate neighbour of P or the captain of Sri Lanka.

5. Position of P and Sri Lankan captain:
- P is third to the left of the Sri Lankan captain.
- The captains of Australia and Sri Lanka are not immediate neighbours.

6. Position of the Indian captain:
- Only one person sits between S and the Indian captain.

Calculating the number of people between T and the captain of England:
- T -> S -> Indian captain -> P -> Sri Lankan captain -> Australian captain -> V -> England captain (Q)
- From T to Q, there are 4 people (S, Indian captain, P, and Sri Lankan captain).

Therefore, when counting anti-clockwise from T, there are four people sitting between T and the captain of England. Hence, the correct answer is option (d) Four.
