- X of Kolkata sends out 100 boxes to Y of Delhi costing Rs 100 each
- Consignors expenses Rs 1000
- Consignees expenses selling Rs 500
- 3/5th of the goods sold by consignee
- of the balance goods were lost in consignees godown due to fire

To find: Value of abnormal loss

Calculation:
- Cost of sending 100 boxes = 100 x 100 = Rs 10,000
- Consignors expenses = Rs 1000
- Consignees expenses = Rs 500
- Total expenses = Rs 11,500
- 3/5th of goods sold by consignee: 3/5 x 100 = 60 boxes
- Balance goods: 100 - 60 = 40 boxes
- Value of 60 boxes sold by consignee = 60 x 100 = Rs 6,000
- Value of 40 boxes lost in fire = 40 x 100 = Rs 4,000
- Loss = Value of 40 boxes - Consignees expenses - Balance goods cost = 4000 - 500 - (40 x 100) = Rs 2200

Answer: The value of abnormal loss is Rs. 2200 (Option B)
