Aurangazeb, the son of Shahjahan killed Shahjahan and succceeded the throne of Mughal Empire. Aurangazeb was a ferocious ruler and the country was drown in the realm of his oppressive dictatorship of Aurangazeb. After the building of Taj Mahal, he was planning to make Black Taj Mahal with granite. The conquered wealth was being invested in the building of monuments in the reign of Shahjahan after the death of Mumtaz Mahal, the beloved wife of Shahjahan. No acts conquering and invading and no important battles were fought by Shahjahan after the death of his wife. This doesn't attract Aurangazeb and he planned to kill his father to get the throne. First Aurangazeb stopped the passage of Yamuna rivet water to enter the kingdom and placed a mineral water plant which became source of drinking water to the whole Kingdom. Shahjahan couldn't drink mineral water. Aurangazeb saying himself the emporer of Mughal Dynasty captured Shahjahan and sent him to prison in Muthaman Burj or the Jasmine palace where he stayed for 8 years looking the glimpse of Taj Mahal from his prison. He became very old lethargic and weary in the memory of his beloved wife. At the last days of his demise, his youngest daughter Jahanara used to say the stories of his legendary during his reign.
