To calculate RL across 5 ohm first we replaced this 5 ohm by opne circuit then we short all the voltage source components

after that we calculate the resitence across A and B so..

2 || 3 + 4 || 3 = 2.91 ohm..

To calculate Rl we have to remove the resistor between AB . then short circuit the voltage sources. then 3 and 2 are in series so(3+2=5) and 4 , 3 resistors are also in series (4+3=7) our aim is to calculate resistance between AB so 5||7 we get 2.91
