I am writing to express my concerns regarding the rising trend among the youth of our country of creating and posting reels, short videos, and podcasts on various social media platforms. I believe this trend has both positive and negative aspects.
On the positive side, this trend allows the youth to showcase their creativity and talent to a wider audience. It provides a platform for self-expression and can even lead to career opportunities for those who excel in their content creation. Additionally, it has become a form of entertainment for many, providing a break from the monotonous routine.
However, there are also negative implications associated with this trend. Firstly, excessive use of social media platforms for creating and consuming such content can lead to addiction and hamper one's productivity. Moreover, the pressure to gain popularity and validation through these platforms can have detrimental effects on the mental health of the youth. It also promotes a culture of instant gratification and superficiality, where the number of likes and followers becomes the sole measure of success.
