end of the cardboard piece
now try to look at the candle through
the hole in the last cardboard can you
see it
it is only visible when the eye the
holes and the candle are in a straight
line try moving one of the cardboard
pieces to one side of the light like
this the path of light will be
interrupted and you won't be able to see
the candle so we know now that light
travels along a straight path light is a
form of energy one of the
characteristics of light is that it
travels in a straight line this is known
as the rectilinear propagation of light
