What is IIM CAP 2025?
The Common Admission Process (CAP) 2025 is the final selection round for MBA admission in the nine new IIMs in 2025 which will take place from February to March 2025.
It will consist of only Personal Interviews (PI), without the Writing Ability Test (WAT) component.
This single-window process allows eligible candidates to appear for a single PI round and their scores will be shared with all participating IIMs.
The final admission offer will be based on the candidate's performance in the CAP round, CAT score, academic profile, diversity, work experience, and other factors.
The participating IIMs will send the list of shortlisted candidates to IIM Udaipur.
The scores obtained by candidates in the CAP round will be shared with the individual institutes.
The institutes will release their merit list of selected candidates, which will be available on their website for those who have an institute login.
The dates for IIM CAP 2025 will be announced shortly by IIM Udaipur. To enroll and take part in the MBA admission process for 2025 in new IIMs, the following are the possible critical dates to keep in mind.
IIM CAP 2025: Key Changes & Highlights
The participating IIMs will not conduct their final admission round separately. Instead, they will prepare a merit list based on the scores obtained in the CAP round and other individual admission components.
IIM Rohtak has decided not to participate in the Common Admission Process (CAP) 2025 and will instead conduct its own selection process for MBA admissions. This means that candidates who want to apply to IIM Rohtak will have to participate in their separate selection process, which may differ from the CAP process used by the other participating IIMs.
The CAP 2025 shortlisting Cut-Off is expected to be 92 percentile, and the sectional Cut-Off in shortlisting for CAP 2025 is expected to remain at 70 percentile.
Some participating IIMs also announce their CAT Cut-Off for shortlisting. For example, IIM Bodh Gaya's Cut-Off was reduced to 90 percentile for General candidates and 87 percentile for Female candidates (Supernumerary seats) last year.
