Introduction

  •  The official notification for JEE Main  2025  has been released on October 28, 2024, on the official website
  • Candidates can expect JEE Main  2025  to be conducted in two sessions.

JEE Main  2025  Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants planning to appear for JEE Main  2025  should fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

Age Limit

  • There is no specific age limit for candidates appearing in JEE Main  2025 .
  • Candidates who have passed the Class 12/equivalent examination in 2023 and 2024 or are appearing in  2025 , irrespective of their age, are eligible to appear for the JEE Main  2025  examination.

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have cleared their 10+2 examinations from any recognized Central/State Board (e.g., Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi).
  • Candidates who have passed the Senior Secondary Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) with five subjects, including Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, are eligible.
  • Candidates who studied less than five subjects in their qualifying exam are not eligible to appear for the JEE Main  2025  examination.

Subject Requirements

  • For B.E./B.Tech:

    • Candidates must have cleared their senior secondary examination with the following subjects:
      • Physics
      • Mathematics
      • Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subject
      • One additional subject
  • For B.Arch/B.Planning:

    • Candidates must have cleared their senior secondary examination with the following subjects:
      • Physics
      • Mathematics (mandatory)
      • Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subject
      • One additional subject

International Candidates for JEE Main  2025 

  • Candidates who have completed the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination outside India or from a board not recognized by any Central/State Board in India are required to produce a certificate of equivalence.
  • This certificate must be issued by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
  • The certificate confirms that the candidate's examination is equivalent to the Class 12 Examination conducted by recognized boards in India.
  • Candidates are advised to obtain this certificate well in advance to avoid any issues during the application or admission process.
