Q.1. Explain the role of agencies at the national level that work for Health and Physical Education in schools.

Physical Education (PE) builds students' competence and confidence to participate in a variety of physical activities that become an important part of their life both within and outside of school. A high-quality physical education programme allows all pupils to experience and excel in a wide range of physical activities.
State health departments provide personal health facilities, such as treatment for handicapped infants, maternal and infant welfare, chronic disease care, oral health, and the purchase or primary provision of inpatient care and mental health; and provide programmes to combat communicable diseases such as tuberculosis.


Q.2. Write brief Notes on the following:
(i) Sports Authority of India (SAI),

The Sports Authority of India (SAI)  is India's apex national sports body, founded in 1982 by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India to promote sport in the country.

(ii) Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports (NSNIS),

The Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports, also known as NIS Patiala, is Asia's largest sports institute. The Maharaja of Patiala built this complex. His descendants later dedicated this structure to the promotion of sports.
NSNIS has long been regarded as the "Mecca" of Indian games. This institute produced a number of exceptionally gifted coaches who demonstrated their efficiency and expertise in preparing teams for international competitions.

(iii) Sports Schools

Any competitive physical activity or game that aims to use, maintain, or improve physical ability and skills while providing enjoyment to participants and, in some cases, entertainment to spectators is considered sport.

(iv) Yoga Institutions

The Yoga Institute is the first authorised Yoga School to conduct government-certified courses, according to the Ministry of AYUSH of the Government of India. In June 2018, it received the Prime Minister's Award 2018 from the Ministry of AYUSH for outstanding contribution to the field of Yoga.


Q.3. What awards are given to coaches and senior and retired sports persons? What are the bases of giving those awards?

The Dronacharya Award is given to the person who not only serves as a mentor but also plots a prodigy's path to stardom.


Q.4. Write the full forms of MAKA, RGKR, TNNAA.

MAKA: MAKA (Maulana Abul Kalam Azad) Trophy
RGKR: RGKR definition is Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna, and another full form of RGKR definition is Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna.
TNNA: Analysis of Training Requirements(training need Analyasis).


Q.5. Which are the State-level government agencies responsible for Health and Physical Education in schools?  What roles do they play for the promotion of this subject area?

“Students' role in the educational system is to learn what they are taught and, more importantly, to find ways to apply that learning outside of the classroom,” he says.... “Students are also supposed to apply what they have learned in school in their day-to-day lives.”

The National Film Awards are India's most prestigious film award ceremony. It was founded in 1954 and has been managed by the Indian government's Directorate of Film Festivals, along with the International Film Festival of India and the Indian Panorama, since 1973.
The National Film Awards are divided into two categories: feature films and non-feature films. According to the criteria, a film must be certified by the Central Board of Film Certification between January 1 and December 31 in order to be considered by the jury.


Q.7. Identify those educational and sport agencies that can help you in promoting your abilities and skills in games and sport and explain what kinds of contributions they can make.

Physical education” is a rapidly expanding field of study as well as a profession. Physical education includes the study and knowledge of all body activities and psychomotor activities while playing and moving.
Physical education training is required in some criterion institutes during the school day. Physical education is also offered as a part-time course.
