4. How does the human eye focus on objects at different distances?
Ans. The human eye is able to focus on objects at different distances through a process called accommodation. This is achieved by the ciliary muscles in the eye, which change the shape of the lens. When we look at a nearby object, the ciliary muscles contract, causing the lens to become thicker and more curved. This allows the eye to bend light rays more sharply and focus them onto the retina. For objects that are far away, the ciliary muscles relax, making the lens thinner and less curved, allowing the eye to focus on distant objects.
