have you seen an ambulance it has the
word ambulance Am bul ance written in an
inverted manner here take a look at this
activity and you will remember for this
we need some letters printed on paper a
plain mirror
pick up some letters and look at the
images in the mirror how do the letters
look now look at this word ambulance in
the mirror they look inverted this is
due to lateral inversion when we look at
an image in the mirror we automatically
perceive it to be inverted from right to
left this is known as lateral inversion

is defined as the reversal experienced
by an image formed in a plane or flat
