Registration Guidelines for Signature of the candidate

Apart from uploading the scanned image of their photograph, candidates also need to upload the scanned image of their signature while filling CAT Application Form.

• Candidates need to sign with a black pen on white paper.

Step 1: Generation of User ID and Password

• Visit the official website for CAT 2022 Application: iimcat.ac.in
• Under the “New Candidate Registration” section, click on the “Registration” tab for New User registration.

• A new window will open for generating User Id and password. Fill in the required information(Name, DOB, Mobile Number, Country, and Email Address) to generate an OTP.

• Enter the OTP and click on Validate OTP and submit after entering the Captcha Code. 

• A declaration window will open. Select I Agree and submit.

• After submitting the details, a message on the registered mobile number containing the Password and an email containing the User ID will be sent.
• After successful completion of the above steps, your login details (User Id and password) will be generated for completion of further process of the CAT 2023 Application. 

Step 2: Filling the CAT 2023 Application form 

• Now log in with your credentials generated in the above part under the “Registered Candidate Login” section on the website to complete the registration for CAT 2022.
• A new window will open to fill the CAT Application form.

Step 2.1: Fill in Personal Details:

• Firstly, fill in the personal details such as category, gender, parents’ information, address of correspondence, etc.

Step 2.2: Enter emergency contact details:

• Candidates need to provide the emergency contact details that may be required in case of any emergencies.

Step 2.3: Uploading of CAT Documents

• Photograph and signature are mandatory for everyone but the other certificates will be uploaded if you have filled yes in those particular columns.
• Photographs and signatures, NC-OBC/SC/ST, and PWD Certificates need to be uploaded.

Step 2.4: Fill in Academic Details:

• Fill in your Academic details for Classes 10, 10+2, Graduation, Postgraduation, and other professional degrees.
• Mention your grades/ CGPA/ percentage of marks, board/ university, and other details.

Step 2.5: Fill in the Work Experience Details:

• Enter the details of work experience if any.
• It is not a mandatory field. 

Step 2.6: Select IIM Programmes & Interview Cities

• This registration page requires you to select preferred Programmes offered by 20 IIMs.
• It is advisable to check your eligibility and then choose the programmes for which you are eligible.
• For example, if you are eligible for the IIM Ahmedabad PGP programme, you may not be eligible for its FABM or executive programmes.
• So, select the best IIM programmes and then select the IIM Interview City for that programme from the respective drop-down menu.  

Step 2.7: Select Preferred Test Cities

• You can select 6 most preferred test cities out of 150+ cities in which CAT 2022 exam is scheduled.
• CAT Center 2023 will make all out efforts to allot you your first preferred test city.
• However, in the case due to any reason it is not allotted, you will be allotted the next preferred test city.

• Noida and Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh are clubbed into one test city for CAT 2022. In the year 2021, they were available as separate test cities.
• Faridabad and Gurgaon in Haryana are clubbed as one Test city for CAT 2022. In the year 2021, they were available as separate test cities

Step 3: Payment of CAT 2023 Application fees

Payment of registration fee for CAT exam 2022 is the last step while completing your Registration & Application form. 

The payment is to be made online. General / NC-OBC candidates need to pay Rs.2300 while an SC/ST/PWD candidate will pay Rs.1150 towards the registration & examination fee. The final amount will also include applicable additional charges.

After the last date for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2023 registration, a correction window will be made available for candidates to make any necessary changes to their application form.
