Candidates appearing in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) must refer to the marking scheme to prepare better for the entrance exam. The marking scheme for the Preliminary and Main examinations is mentioned below.

Preliminary Examination

The examination contains two compulsory papers of 200 marks each.

Note:

  • Both the papers will be of objective type [MCQs] and the duration of the exam will be of two hours
  • The General Studies Paper-II of the Civil Service [Preliminary] examination will be qualifying in nature with minimum marks of 33%
  • The question papers will be available in both Hindi and English
