The Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level (SSC CGL) Tier 1 exam is not just a test, but a gateway to a bright future for many young aspirants.   • Tier-I will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions. The questions will be set both in English & Hindi except for English Comprehension.
  • There will be negative marking of 0.50 for each wrong answer

SSC CGL Tier 1 Syllabus 2023

As per the New Scheme of Examination, the SSC CGL 2023 exam will be conducted in four tiers. The SSC CGL Tier 1 and Tier 2 exams will be conducted in online mode, whereas the Tier 3 and Tier 4 exams will be conducted in offline mode. The Tier 1 exam is an online-based exam that comprises four sections: General Intelligence and ReasoningGeneral AwarenessQuantitative Aptitude and English , with a total number of 100 questions. Each correct answer is awarded 2 marks, and there is a negative marking of 0.5 marks for each incorrect answer. The duration of the exam is 60 minutes. The SSC CGL General Intelligence and Reasoning Syllabus includes both verbal and Non-verbal Reasoning and consists of 25 questions, totaling 50 marks.The Tier 1 SSC CGL syllabus for reasoning is provided below in the table, with 1-3 questions expected from each topic.
