SSC CGL Inspector Narcotics Physical Fitness Standard & Physical Test

For Physical Standard of Male Candidates:

  • Height – 157 cm
  • Fully expanded Chest – 81 cm with an expansion of 5 cm

* In the case of ST/Garwalis/Assamese/Gorkhas, height is relaxable by 5 cm.

Physical Test:

  • Walking – 1600 meter in fifteen minutes
  • Cycling – 8 kilometers in thirteen minutes

Physical Standard of Female Candidates:

  • Height – 152 cm with relaxation of 2.5 cms
  • Weight – 48 kilograms with the relaxation of 2 Kg for ST/Garwalis/Assamese/Gorkhas

Physical Test:

  • Walking – One kilometer in twenty minutes
  • Cycling – Three kilometers in twenty-five minutes

Job Profile

  • The primary duties of an Inspector Narcotics Officer involve monitoring and overseeing various opium-related activities, including cultivation, supervision of sub-inspectors, and measuring poppy fields. You may be stationed in the Preventive and Intelligence Cell of CBN.
  • You will be actively involved in dealing with smugglers and other individuals engaged in opium smuggling. A critical aspect of your responsibilities will be to prevent the use of opium for manufacturing psychotropic substances.
  • In addition to fieldwork, you may be required to write and submit reports regarding the situation in your sector. This is necessary because you will have to provide regular updates to your senior officials regarding the status.
  • As an Inspector in the Narcotics division, you must also possess expertise in gun control, self-defence tactics, and emergency management.
