• Now, a group of glasses is given below. Can you tell how many glasses are there?

In the 1st row, there is only 1 glass, in 2nd row, there are 2 glasses and in 3rd row there are 3.

So, in total, there are 1 + 2 + 3  = 6 glasses.

• There are 4 groups of candies given below.

Can you tell how many candies are there in each group?

There are 6 candies in each group.

How many total candies are there?

There are 4 groups and each group has 6 toffees. So, we will add 6 four times.

 2. How do groups help in counting?
Ans. Groups help in counting by organizing objects into smaller sets, making the counting process more manageable and efficient. It allows us to count larger quantities by counting smaller groups repeatedly.
 3. Can you give an example of counting in groups?
Ans. Sure! Let's say you have 15 apples and you want to count them in groups of 3. You would group the apples into sets of 3, resulting in 5 groups. Then, you would count each group separately, starting from 1 to 5, to determine the total number of apples.
 4. Are there any limitations to counting in groups?
Ans. Yes, there are limitations to counting in groups. It may not be suitable for all situations, especially when the objects cannot be easily grouped or when the total quantity is not divisible evenly into equal groups.
 5. How does counting in groups help with mathematical operations?
Ans. Counting in groups helps with mathematical operations like addition and multiplication. By counting in groups, we can perform these operations more efficiently by adding or multiplying the group totals instead of counting each individual object.
