15 Questions You Will Face In SSB Interview Conference | Preparation Tips for SSB Interview - CDS PDF Download
The Procedure Of SSB Conference
Candidates will be called one by one in ascending or descending order based on their Chest No. A bell and a display board will indicate the chest number to inform the candidates about their turn to enter the conference hall. Generally, the conference lasts for 30 to 60 seconds for most candidates. However, a few candidates may take longer, up to 5-10 minutes or even 30 minutes in rare cases, usually when there are doubts about their performance.
Instruction For SSB Conference:
- Dress neatly and wear your chest number prominently.
- Control any fear or nervousness you may feel. Sometimes candidates get nervous when they see men in uniform. Remember to stay calm, as one day you will be in their position.
- Greet the person in front of you as soon as you enter the room. Usually, your interviewing officer (IO) will handle your conference, but sometimes someone else from the board, such as the president, may take charge.
- Pay attention and listen carefully to the questions asked. Speak loudly and clearly so that others can hear your answers.
- Exit the room calmly and without causing much disturbance once you receive instructions from the IO/President.
- Prepare yourself for questions that were not answered during the interview. You may encounter the same questions again in the conference.
What Happens In SSB Conference
During the conference, all three assessors – the psychologist, interviewing officer, and GTO – discuss the performance of each candidate and decide whether to recommend them or not. The final decision is made during the conference, but sometimes there may be doubts about certain candidates, so the assessors will reassess them by asking additional questions. Therefore, always strive to make a good impression during the conference.
General Question In SSB Interview Conference:
- How are you? How was your stay, food, and accommodation during the past five days?
- On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate your performance?
- How do you evaluate your performance in the three tests?
- How many friends have you made in the last five days?
- Did you notice any changes in yourself during these five days?
- Why were you not selected in your previous attempts? (For repeaters)
- What will you do if you are not selected this time?
- How do you rate yourself within your group?
- What are your future plans?
- Which test did you enjoy the most in the SSB?
- In which test do you think you could have performed better?
- Have you gone out with friends? Which places did you visit in the city where your Board is located?
- Compare your performance with your previous SSB attempt.
- Expect some Situation Reaction Tests (SRTs) or other questions.
- Do you have any suggestions for improving the SSB process?
