Microsoft chairman and CEO Satya Nadella's Visit to India

Microsoft Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Satya Nadella visited India in January 2025 as part of the Microsoft AI Tour, aiming to discuss expansion and investment plans to position India as a leader in Artificial Intelligence (AI).

During this visit, IndiaAI, an Independent Business Division under the Digital India Corporation, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Microsoft to promote the adoption and development of AI in India.

As part of this initiative, Microsoft and IndiaAI plan to establish "AI Catalysts," a Center of Excellence focused on fostering rural AI innovation in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. This initiative aims to equip 100,000 AI innovators and developers through hackathons, community building, and creating an AI marketplace.

Furthermore, Microsoft announced a substantial USD 3 billion investment in India over the next two years to enhance AI and cloud infrastructure, as well as skilling initiatives in the country.

Overview of Singapore President Tharman Shanmugaratnam’s Visit to India

Singapore President Tharman Shanmugaratnam made his first bilateral state visit to India from January 14 to 18, 2025.   • Traditional Medicine Quality Assurance. The Pharmacopoeia Commission for Indian Medicine & Homeopathy (PCIM&H) under the Ministry of AYUSH in India and the Indonesian Food and Drug Authority signed an MoU on Traditional Medicine Quality Assurance.
  • Digital Development. An MoU on Cooperation in Digital Development was signed between the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) of India and the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs of Indonesia.
  • Cultural Exchange Program. A Cultural Exchange Program was signed between the Ministry of Culture of India and the Ministry of Culture of Indonesia for the period 2025-2028.

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju's Visit to Saudi Arabia for Hajj Preparations

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, responsible for the Ministry of Minority Affairs and the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, visited Saudi Arabia from January 11 to 14, 2025.
