hey guys this is clouds red tip when
you're on set reading you want things to
move as quickly and smoothly as possible
so today I'm going to share with you
some quick tips for setting up hotkeys
and shortcuts in the red system every
single button on the camera can be set
up to access different menus parameters
and settings to suit your specific style
of shooting let's begin from the top
menu access setup then keys to open the
shortcuts menu to create a hotkey all
you need to do is select the button
you'd like to assign and then the action
you'd like to assign a to for example if
I want to set user key 1 to trigger
pre-record just scroll down to find the
right setting
maybe I want the second user key to take
me straight into the play back to on the
DSM see two side handles I like the
quick adjustments for things like
aperture using a scroll wheel side
handle user key one comes preset for
marking the frame in addition to the
physical buttons on the camera there are
also a programmable soft keys on our
touchscreen that you can set to anything
you want for example if you want to
quickly try out different looks in
camera it's one touch to bring you to
the menu setting different hotkeys for
different shooting scenarios is also a
great idea one soft you can quickly take
you into stills mode another for
shooting time lapses and another can
adjust all of your camera settings
depending on if you're shooting indoors
or outdoors and remember all these are
just options it's up to you to customize
your camera to suit your own style shoot
