Nate here with red tech so with HDR
monitors on the rise there's an
increasing demand for HDR content so
what is HDR HDR stands for high dynamic
range which is essentially an image that
has more information between its darkest
tone and its brightest clipping point as
you can see the more dynamic range you
have in a camera the more information
you can see between the highlights and
the shadows let's go over setting up the
camera for HDR capture done the beauty
of our camera has always captured enough
dynamic range to support an HDR delivery
without any additional settings needed
to do so you literally can just do
exactly what you've been doing proceed
as normal
exposed to the right shoot for a nice
thick digital negative and be aware of
your highlights clipping so if you want
to monitor
HDR on camera all you have to do is
change your color space to rec 2020 and
your gamma curve to HDR 2084 this is a
very simple metadata adjustment to the
raw file you can revisit all your old
clips and recode them for an HDR
delivery
