welcome to red tech I'm cloud and today
we're going to talk about one of the
most important things you need when
you're using a red lens Maps before
going out to shoot make sure you've got
the proper mount on your camera to match
the lenses that you're using unlike
other manufacturers red camera support
most types of glass you want to use the
Nikon and Canon mounts are both smart
meaning they'll provide metadata on what
type of lens you're using
they'll also allow you to control the
aperture electronically as well as
autofocus our mounts also have a locking
ring to help keep the lens in place once
you've attached it make sure you've
unlocked it before putting the lens on
the like amount allows for Leica lenses
and pl allows you to use most standard
cinema glass at the camera Nikon Canon
and PL are also available as motion
mounts giving you electronic MD as well
as a global shutter to remove a mount
use the torques tool to pull out the
four screws in each corner when
attaching a mount make sure that you're
lining a pin and tightening the screws
evenly in an X pattern the type of glass
you choose is an important decision and
