of these sessions has a few drum loops
inside of them for you to build upon and
we created multiple options for you
which represent a number of genres and
styles listen to them all and decide
which one you'd like to use for your
assignment
perhaps this goes without saying again
but to reiterate think of these sessions
as springboards they aren't meant to
restrict you in any way but rather
provide a platform for you to launch
from you do not need to use the drum
loops as they are but please do use them
somehow inside of your assignment those
of you who are into sampling and
manipulating audio know how limitless
the possibilities are here these small
elements and sessions are going to be
the connective tissue which bind all of
our ideas and sounds together once
you've pulled your session open it up
and get ready to work inside the session
using your seaboard rise and Equator
compose a backing track for a
performance you will put on one element
should be left out of the production
which will be performed live by you the
performance element needs to showcase
the expressivity and multi-dimensional
functionalities of the hardware and
software using any camera record a video
of you putting on your performance and
upload that video to YouTube or Vimeo
don't overthink the video component to
this assignment using your cell phone or
webcam will work fine and the only thing
you need to worry about is to make sure
that we can see what your hands are
doing as you're performing recording to
the DA and publish that session to blend
requirements for the assignment our use
at least one instance of Equator which
will be the performance element of your
assignment feel free to use presets or
manipulate equator to design your own
sounds record a video of you performing
your piece to the backing track you can
do this with a smartphone a webcam or
any other recording device you have
access to as long as we can hear both
the backing track and your performance
you have met the technical requirements
of this assignment
navigate to your blend projects page and
find the session you've been working on
when publishing as text in the
description point out how you use the
five dimensions of touch to connect to
your composition and also any creative
sound design or mappings you created
also include the link to your video in
the description and it will appear in
your blend project when you publish make
sure to leave the default tags as they
are so your project will connect back to
all the others and feel free to add any
of your own publish your composition and
watch the feedback roll in by pulling
the assignments from blend you'll
automatically see updates from others in
the course in your blend newsfeed go
listen to some of your peers assignments
and provide constructive feedback
